Abstract
The escalating global burden of chronic noncommunicable diseases poses a pressing challenge to healthcare systems worldwide, particularly in resource-constrained primary care settings, where innovative and cost-effective solutions are urgently needed. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) non-pharmacological therapies, including acupuncture, massage, acupoint application, dietary therapy, and mind-body therapies such as Tai Chi and Qigong, offer easily implemented interventions that are highly compatible with community-based chronic disease management models. This study systematically integrates existing evidence on incorporating TCM non-pharmacological therapies into community-based chronic disease management, proposing a multi-layered implementation framework that can improve quality of life and reduce the symptom burden of various chronic diseases.
