Abstract
The integration of cyber-physical production systems and enterprise architectures has transformed how industrial knowledge is institutionalized and commercialized. This critical review examines the operational mechanisms of collaborative platforms, standard-driven enterprise informatization, and cross-sector data exchange frameworks in smart manufacturing. Evidence indicates that multi-stakeholder platforms and dual-drive standardization models enhance technology transfer velocity to some extent; however, systemic discrepancies between academic exploratory timelines and commercial production constraints generate operational friction. Furthermore, while standardized data schemas mitigate cross-enterprise integration barriers, reported efficiency gains may partially stem from reporting asymmetries or administrative subsidies rather than network reciprocity. Considering these divergent institutional perspectives, this leads us to emphasize that technology commercialization cannot follow linear trajectories, but represents an emergent socio-technical negotiation vulnerable to institutional inertia. Further research is needed to construct adaptive governance models that balance dynamic incentive structures, digital security, and data sovereignty across manufacturing ecosystems.
